What should I do next?
Ask God to lead you to a local church with a pastor who delivers strong teaching about God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and how each part of this divine Trinity is critical to your life. Once God answers your prayer, invest your time, money and talents in support of the ministry to which He has led you.
We highly recommend our church, Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries, which is led by Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr. and Co-Pastor Elena Robertson. We periodically visited Mt. Gilead for several months leading up to the first Sunday in June 2003. That morning we attended our previous church's 8:00 a.m. service and left with plans to buy groceries and enjoy family time as usual. Instead, God led us to go to Mt. Gilead's 11:30 a.m. service, where Bishop Robertson ministered a message entitled "I Know the Plans," using Jeremiah 29:11 as a scriptural reference. By the time Bishop Robertson finished ministering, it was clear to us that God had led us to Mt. Gilead to join the ministry on that day. We did, and every area of our lives has improved dramatically since then. We thank God for using Bishop and Co-Pastor Robertson, and we thank them for leading by example, demonstrating their love for the people they have been called to serve, and insisting on excellence. While submitting to a pastor who teaches the full Gospel is important, you also must study the Bible for yourself. The Word of God admonishes us in II Timothy 2:15, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." The Bible is every believer's manual for living. Manufacturers recall products that are not functioning according to plan. God, who made us, encourages us to consistently draw closer to Him by seeking His will in His written Word, whether we are experiencing the best or worst circumstances.
Last, but certainly not least, be filled and develop a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the most important person in our lives. When Jesus completed His earthly assignment and ascended to join God at His throne, He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us. As we spend time with the Holy Spirit, He will teach us how to love, appreciate and obey God. Millions are starving for joy, which can only be fully found and maintained in Him. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into ever increasing power, love and wisdom as you embark on the exciting journey of finding and fulfilling your earthly assignment.
